We are pleased to offer a comprehensive set of environmental education materials for pre-school and primary school teachers.
These materials were prepared as part of the international project Empowering Teachers and Pupils for a Better Life through Nature, which was financed by the European Commission's Erasmus + programme. The National Society for the Protection of Birds, the Spanish Ornithological Society (SEO), the Slovak Society of Ornithology (SOS), the Macedonian Ecological Society (MES), the Czech Ornithological Society (CSO) and the BirdWatch Ireland (BWI) collaborated on the guidelines and structure, and educational experts from the University of Gdańsk created the final content.
The resource materials have been designed for use in teaching children both at a pre-school and primary school levels, and they consist of:
substantive introductions for each thematic block and a pedagogic introduction explaining how to use materials;
thematic blocks containing tasks, experiments and other activities for children; and
multimedia presentations that the teacher can use during class activities.
An integral part of the materials is the mobile application "Migration of birds", which can be downloaded on smartphones running either Android or iOS.
We encourage you to read and use our educational resource materials, which are available for download free of chargeHERE.
